PGHI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities, based in Roseville, California and Toronto, Canada. We operate solely for charitable purposes, providing education and outreach programs at no cost to the public. Our website is funded by charitable donations alone, ensuring our editorial independence with no advertising or corporate sponsorship.

Our Inspiration

PGHI was founded in late 2012 by a dedicated team of volunteers inspired by Ms. Reva Peer’s passion for the disabled. Our collective experiences in volunteering with organizations serving those with disabilities drove us to establish this nonprofit. Our goal is to centralize efforts and raise awareness about programs aiding individuals with special needs, both locally and globally, through our website. Join us in advocating for the rights and benefits of people with disabilities.

Our Mission

PGHI’s mission is to aid the physically, intellectually, and developmentally disabled in underserved communities. As a private non-profit, we’re supported by dedicated individuals advocating for the disabled. Our goals include:

  • Providing access to enriching programs.
  • Raising awareness about disability issues.
  • Offering trustworthy health information.
  • Advocating for disability rights and inclusion.
  • Building a global volunteer movement and increasing public awareness.

Our Vision

Our vision is a world where people with disabilities thrive in supportive communities, free from barriers. We aim for integrated, respectful communities that celebrate diversity, offering opportunities for full participation. We strive for increased understanding and acceptance of disabilities, ensuring access to information and skills for active citizenship. By nurturing meaningful relationships, we challenge societal perceptions and promote full inclusion, including in employment. Join us in creating a society where everyone can flourish.

Our Values

PGHI is committed to serving the historically underserved disabled population through our guiding principles:

  • Recognizing and valuing the contributions of individuals with disabilities to society.
  • Advocating for full inclusion and participation in all aspects of society.
  • Upholding equality, dignity, and basic human rights for people with disabilities.
  • Increasing access to resources and support for independent decision-making.
  • Creating a healthy, safe environment that promotes well-being and independence.
  • Establishing partnerships with like-minded organizations to advance our mission.
