Our Inspiration

PGHI was founded in late 2012 by an all-volunteer team of individuals concerned about the plight of the disabled. The inspiration for PGHI comes from our founder, Ms. Reva Peer who shares a strong passion for the intellectually and physically disabled. Our individual experiences, volunteering our time with organizations that assist the physically and intellectually handicapped, have built in us a desire to support the cause of the individuals who are developmentally disabled and their families. In order to centralize and concentrate the efforts of our team to reach a larger cross section of this demographic, we have established this non-profit organization which will give us an opportunity to highlight the local, national and international programs that are designed to assist the disabled through our web site. We have joined together to start a grassroots advocacy for the rights and benefits of people with special needs.
